Personal data protection

This page explains what you hand us when you write to Ask3lach Dev or ask for a demonstration, why we need it, how long we keep it and how you can have it corrected or deleted. It is written under Moroccan law no. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data.

What we collect
- Your name and telephone number: without them we cannot answer you. Those two fields are required; nothing else is.
- Your email, your trade and your message, if you give them.
- The language you wrote in, so we answer in it, the page you wrote from and the price shown on it — so the answer is about what you actually saw.
- The date of your consent and the version of this page as it stood at that moment.
- The demonstration form asks for two things only: a name and a number.
- We collect no sensitive data within the meaning of article 1 of law 09-08: no origin, no opinion, no affiliation, no health.
What we count, without identifying you
- When somebody opens WhatsApp from a button on this site, we record the selected trade, the price displayed and the page address. Nothing else: no name, no number, no identifier — the tap comes before anyone identifies themselves.
- This site sets no advertising cookie and uses no third-party tracker. The language you choose stays in your own browser and is not sent to us.
Why we need it
- To answer you: what the application would do for your trade, a timeline and a price.
- To call you back about the demonstration you asked for, and about nothing else.
- To know which pages bring enquiries, from totals that do not point at you.
- We do not use your details for unsolicited prospecting, and we do not sell, rent or exchange them with anyone.
On what basis
- The preliminary steps you ask for yourself, within the meaning of article 4-2-a of law 09-08: asking for a quote implies knowing who to answer.
- Your consent, given by ticking the box when you send, for the transfer described below to our email provider. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us; we then delete your record.
Who has access
- Ask3lach Dev, and nobody else within it — the dashboard is password-protected.
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site and the database. The database is stored in the European Union, a territory the CNDP recognises as offering an adequate level of protection.
- Resend, which carries the notification of your message to our inbox. That provider is established in the United States, a country not on the CNDP's adequacy list: it is for this transfer that your express consent is asked, under article 44 of law 09-08. Your message is recorded with us before that send, and stays with us even if the send fails.
- If you write to us on WhatsApp, the message passes through that service, whose publisher applies its own rules. You can use email instead.
The businesses we list
- To find out which Moroccan businesses do not yet have a website, we query OpenStreetMap, an open and public mapping database. From it we keep the establishment's name, its address and, where it is already published there, the telephone number.
- We invent no number and we buy none from anyone. These records concern establishments, not private individuals, and they serve one purpose: knowing which door to knock on.
- If your establishment appears there and you would rather it did not, write to us: the record is deleted, with no justification required.
For how long
- Your enquiry and your details: three years from our last exchange.
- Establishment records taken from OpenStreetMap that nobody has contacted: twelve months.
- Past those periods, records are deleted at the review of the file, which we carry out at least once a year. A deletion you ask for is done without waiting for that review.
Your rights
- Access: to know what we hold about you and obtain a copy of it (article 7).
- Rectification: to have what is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date corrected (article 8).
- Objection: to object, on legitimate grounds, to our processing of your data (article 9).
- Deletion: to have your record erased, which no text requires us to keep.
- Write to contact@ask3lach.com; we answer. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may refer the matter to the Commission nationale de contrôle de la protection des données à caractère personnel (CNDP), Rabat — www.cndp.ma.
Security
- The site is served over HTTPS only. The dashboard is password-protected and an open session expires by itself.
- No password is kept in readable form: what is stored is the fingerprint of a session token, not the password itself.
